LEARNING OBJECTIVES OF PRE-CONVENTION COURSES

COCHLEAR

Objective: Hearing healthcare professionals will learn about Cochlear's implantable hearing technology:  The Cochlear ™ Nucleus ® 5 and the Baha ® system.  Topics include:  Overview of Hearing and Hearing Loss, implantable technology overview, candidacy criteria, referral procedures, building successful partnerships, medical/surgical consideration, benefits of binaural and bimodal hearing and emerging technology.

Objectives will be accomplished via lecture, live demonstration and attendee participation. 

Attendees will learn to:   

1.  Identify and clinically apply the primary components of BestSound technology, 

2.  Understand the relation between technology & wearer benefit

3.  Utilize the CONNEXX software for counseling as well as programming hearing instruments and the Tek Wireless Enhancement System
